Peller Estates Private Reserve Meritage 2020 VQA

Meritage is another name for red blends, usually made of classic Bordeaux varieties of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Cabernet Franc. Winemaker's love experimenting with new blend combinations, fermentation and aging methods to find the best red blend that's delicious and balanced. Our 2020 Meritage features 2 Cabernets - 46% Cabernet Sauvignon and 41% Cabernet France with Merlot and Syrah rounding out the blend. Aged in French and American oak, the wine is deep purple in colour from the excellent 2020 vintage. Dry and full bodied expect flavours of blackberries, plum and cocoa. A great cellaring candidate or serve now with beef brisket, grilled lamb chops, portobello mushrooms or aged Canadian cheddars.
